Holistic Massage and Beauty Therapist, ITEC, Raw Dip, FHT
Catherine Davidson has been practising holistic massage and beauty therapy for 20 years, qualifying in 2005. She brings a calm, skilled and genuinely patient-centred approach to every treatment, working across a wide range of modalities and adapting each session entirely to the individual in front of her.
Catherine holds ITEC and FHT accreditations and a Raw Diploma, and has built her practice around the Neal’s Yard Remedies range: an extensive collection of organic oils blended and selected to match each patient’s specific symptoms, requirements and mood. Her treatments do not follow a standard template. They begin with an understanding of what you are carrying, physically and emotionally, and are built from there.
Her central belief, honed across two decades of practice, is that the mind and body cannot be treated in isolation. She focuses first on calming the nervous system and quietening the mental state: when the mind settles, the body follows. This is the principle that connects everything she does, whether she is working on a tight back, supporting lymphatic function, or caring for the skin.
Catherine has written across her areas of practice. Her articles on sports massage vs holistic massage, how often you should have a massage, why stress lives in your muscles and the physical benefits of regular massage beyond relaxation reflect the questions she most commonly answers in the treatment room. On the lymphatic side, her pieces on what the lymphatic system is, signs your lymphatic system needs support, lymphatic drainage after surgery and skin health and the lymphatic system provide the background that helps patients understand why MLD produces the results it does.
