You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Sometimes it is simply that something has been weighing on you for too long. A relationship that has become difficult. Anxiety that will not settle. A grief you have not yet had space to feel. A sense of disconnection from the person you thought you would be by now.
Whatever has brought you here, this is a space without judgement. You do not need to have the right words or know exactly what you are looking for. You just need to start.
About Anne Bila
Anne Bila is an NLP Counsellor, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, and Mediator with a depth of experience supporting people through a wide range of personal and emotional challenges. Her approach draws on Neuro-Linguistic Programming, mindfulness practices and a genuinely integrative understanding of how emotional experience, thought patterns and nervous system function are interconnected.
Anne does not apply a rigid framework to each person she works with. She listens carefully, reflects honestly and works collaboratively with you to understand what is actually going on and what would genuinely help.
What This Service Can Help With
Anne works with clients across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and persistent worry, stress and burnout, low confidence and self-esteem, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties, major life transitions including career changes and loss of identity, emotional numbness or disconnection, and patterns of behaviour or thinking that keep repeating.
There is no concern too small or too complex. If it is affecting your quality of life, it matters.
If you are uncertain whether counselling is the right starting point for you, when should you see a counsellor addresses six signs that reaching out would genuinely help. What NLP counselling is and how it differs from traditional therapy explains the approach Anne uses and what distinguishes it. Grief without a script speaks directly to those who are carrying loss of any kind. The physical cost of emotional stress is relevant to anyone whose stress has begun to show up in the body as well as the mind. And if you are weighing up counselling against coaching, therapy vs life coaching explains how to identify which is the better fit for where you are right now.
What to Expect
Your first session is a conversation, not a test. Anne will listen to what is going on for you, ask questions to understand your experience more fully, and begin to get a sense of what you are looking for. Nothing is fixed or forced. You set the pace.
Sessions are held in a private, comfortable room within our clinic at Hever Castle. The environment offers a degree of peace and separation from daily life that many clients find makes it easier to open up and think clearly.
Everything shared within your sessions remains entirely confidential.
Counselling and Your Wider Journey
For some clients, the therapeutic work opens up clarity about what they want to do differently. When you feel ready to move from processing into purposeful action, life coaching provides the structured forward momentum that counselling is not designed to deliver. Anne works across both modalities and will support you in making that transition when the time is right.
